GSM module CM4042 CM-Guard-42
The Mobeye CM4042 is the alarm module with four potential-free inputs and two relay outputs. A reliable alarm and control module for monitoring sensors and remotely controlling devices. In an alarm situation and status change, the CM4042 informs contacts via app, telephone call, SMS or e-mail.
Alarm module with output control for monitoring and switching installations
The CM4042 has four input channels and two output relays, with a built-in 2G/4G communication module. Potential-free sensors and fault contacts can be connected to the inputs. The outputs are switchable via SMS command. The configuration gives many possibilities to customise this telemetry module to your own needs.
Potential-free alarm inputs
The Mobeye CM4042 has four NO/NC inputs, for the connection of alarm contacts and sensors. With these it monitors the status of a device or external sensor, and monitors the functioning of a machine or the condition of sensors. Apart from make/break contacts, output signals between 0 and 48V can also be seen as alarm status
Relay outputs
The Mobeye CM4042 has two relay outputs for controlling devices. These are bistable relays, capable of switching max 30V/1A. Switching is done via SMS command*. Setting a pulse time for the output relay switches it off automatically, also separate SMS commands can be used for ‘on’ and ‘off’. * In future software versions (automatic) switching after an alarm and/or after an alarm recovery is also a possibility. Ask Mobeye for further information.
Battery powered or external power
If the CM4042 is externally powered (>10VDC) the communication module is always connected to the mobile network. The relay can then be controlled remotely via SMS. The alarm detector can also operate for long periods on batteries only. The inputs are then still monitored.
Alarm on power failure
When using an external power source, the Mobeye CM4042 also directly monitors whether the power supply is present. If it fails, it sends a notification. A regulated 12-24V DC voltage source can be connected to the voltage input, or a mains adapter. Once the voltage is lost, the internal batteries take over operation and a notification follows. The input contacts and connected sensors continue to be monitored. The (bistable) relays remain in the current position. When the power supply recovers, a signal also follows.
Alarm transmission and extra security
The Mobeye CM4042 sends alarm notifications by app (IOS/Android) , telephone call (voice message), text message and/or e-mail. For the push messages, there is a choice between an escalation plan or group message. With the escalation plan, the recipient can ‘acknowledge’ the push message, preventing the other contacts from receiving the message. If none of the push messages is manually acknowledged, a call still goes out. The number of contacts is unlimited. The Mobeye sim card to be activated online gives the device full functionality including the use of the Mobeye Internet Portal and the app. With the Mobeye sim card, communication is over the 4G LTE-M network with 2G as fallback. Own sim card: when inserting an own sim card, the device operates primarily on 2G. With a suitable LTE-M SIM card and proper APN settings, it also works on 4G LTE-M. With the proprietary SIM card, alarm notifications are sent via SMS to up to 5 phone numbers.
Outdoor version
The CM4042 has a housing for indoor use. The Mobeye CM4042X is the outdoor housing version (IP66).
