Since 2001, the "Stichting Webshop Keurmerk" has been the trade organization and the "Thuiswinkel Keurmerk" of home shops that mainly offer products and services via the internet.
The shops affiliated with the Dutch Webshop Keurmerk are under the independent supervision of the Foundation.
The "Stichting Webshop Keurmerk" aims to protect consumers against faulty web shops and/or home shops.
The shops affiliated with the "Stichting Webshop Keurmerk" are obliged to comply with European and Dutch laws and regulations and the Keurmerk code. The "Stichting Webshop Keurmerk" also aims to increase consumer confidence with regard to internet purchases, by telephone, catalog and post.
